Lily turf/monkey grass
My mom has been giving me a lot of plant stuff from her yard and garden to feed my crabs, and everything so far has either been on the safe list. Today she gave me what she calls monkey grass but I looked it up and it’s called lily turf. I didn’t see it on the safe or unsafe list. Can anyone tell if it will be okay to feed to the crabs and if so the whole plant or just the flowers on it?

Re: Lily turf/monkey grass
Lily turf. As in Liriope sp., such as mondo grass/monkey grass?
It should be fine, it's not known to be toxic to any other animal. There are some reports of eating large quantities of the flower/seeds in dogs leading to upset stomachs, but nothing major.
Once again, should be fine.
