Animal Protein

Post by asiankanye » Wed Jun 03, 2020 10:47 pm

I’ve come across an issue with protein. I have plant protein such as flax seeds and quinoa, but I only have one source of animal protein which would be krill, and I don’t have a lot left. My parents won’t let me use chicken, pork, or beef as that’s what they use to cook dinner most of the time. Is there any other good source of protein that I can find somewhere easily?

I am having the same problem until I ordered some mixes online ( from Canadian Chuby crab) that most of them have animal protein and I guess that is all I use. There is many shops you could order from. Hope this helped

The reptile sections in pet stores will offer you a lot of bugs. Grasshoppers, crickets, mealworms. Fish section will offer you bloodworms, krill, mysis shrimp. Dog and cat section you can find one ingredient treats such as freeze dried chicken, shrimp, turkey...etc. :)

Oh wait, i forgot about all of this pet store stuff. Thanks!
As for ordering online, i’m trying to refrain from doing that now because i ordered something on May 15th and somehow it still hasn’t found its way to a mailing facility. With amazon prime. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Quick question, would freeze-dried bloodworms for betta fishes be safe?

Regarding using meat that your family eats, ask if you could use the scraps such as the meat left on bones or fish fins and heads, so long as they aren’t heavily seasoned
