Soothing Sounds?

Post by Bates9118 » Sun Mar 03, 2019 8:29 pm

Hi all, fairly new here and my crabs aren’t adjusted to the home environment yet. They still run for their hides whenever I open the cage, and I wish there was something I could do to get them to relax. Is there a particular sound that I could play that would remind them of their natural habitat?

Some of my crabs still run and hide at the sight of any type of movement outside the tank. Others I can move things right in front of them and they don't even duck and hide. I've had some of them for almost a year now. I believe it is mostly the personality of the crab not anything else. The main thing is to leave them alone as much as possible. Try to limit the number of time you need to go into their tank every day and give them their space. There's no set time frame that they will not hide. Most will probably continue to hide. I'm sure it's nothing on your part.
