Quick question on a fluker’s heater

Post by GRMU99 » Sun May 26, 2019 5:17 pm

I Have a fluker 17x11 uth mounted on the back on my 29gl tank. I dont think its keeping the tank warm enough. I do have my Ac on in my bedroom since it gets really hot in my room in the summer. The tank temperature reads arounds 71-73. Is there anything i can do to bring up the temperature. I was thinking of ordering another fluuker’s uth from amazon.

What do you have your uth insulated with? We use Polypro from Lowe's.

I have used an additional uth on the side of the tank with insulation for winter months. I always keep an eye on the regulator. There's only one plug for one uth, so I'm unable to connect a second. I set my regulator at 85.

I recommend using insulation and making sure you have a sealed lid.

I use an 11x29 Flukers pad to heat my 29 gallon. All I use is foil wrapped cardboard on the back and lid, and the tank stays at 80 even when my room is down into the low 50s in winter.
