Re: Decor
Coral without dyes or bleach are safe, as are air plants that have no recent exposure to pesticides.

Re: Decor
From what I’ve read air plants tend to get torn apart. I don’t know if they’re actually eaten.Xenocrab wrote:Will they eat the air plants?

Re: Decor
If they were to be eaten, seeing that crabbies eat just about anything, would they be harmful or poison?

Re: Decor
I doubt it, since to the best of my knowledge they don’t produce anything worrisome.Xenocrab wrote:If they were to be eaten, seeing that crabbies eat just about anything, would they be harmful or poison?

Air plants are from the plants called tillandsia, and they are safe for hermit crabs.

Great! I learned something new! I've always wanted air plants and now my crabbies can have some too! Win win!

Re: Decor
If you do a search in the search bar, you can find loads more information on air plants and other plants commonly used in crabitats, if you’re interested.

Thanks! I have a green thumb, but never have live plants in a crabitat. I tried sunflowers and chia, but they died without being eaten. I thought they liked to eat sprouts, but mine don't
