I am looking to get another heat mat for a different tank and I was wondering if a heat mat for plats would work. Specifically a seedling by hydro farms mat.

But in saying, yes they will work just fine. Very little difference between seedling hestmats and reptile heatmats. Usually it comes down packaging, but wattage is also a key factor.
