Just checking heat and humidity ok.

Post by Elli » Thu Jun 11, 2020 5:14 am

Hey all, I have owned 2 of my crabs for 2.5 months and have since gotten another 5 (all 7 are currently down :| ) anyway i started poorly like most, being a first time crabber and had many issues with heat and humidity so want some feedback on current readings as i get overly worried about it sometimes. 5 weeks ago i upgraded to a 4 foot (291 Litres/77 gallon) tank. Heat is constant at 27-31 (80-87 Fahrenheit) degrees Celsius. Humidity is usually 77-79 during the day when UVB light is on (12 hour on/ off cycle) and heater in house is on (live in Melbourne Australia and it as been COLD). At night temp at lowest will sit at 25 degrees Celsius and humidity 80-86%. All my crabs are Aussies. Is all that ok? i was hoping since humidity never drops below 75% its probably good especially since they do get higher humidity for 12 hours at night? Thank you.
