Crab got out of tank!

Post by SylysJ » Sat Apr 13, 2019 3:01 pm

So my E got out of the tank and fell 5ft down on wood floors. It was very cold on The floor probably 40 or below I dont know how long he was there at least 3 to 4 hours. I found him when I got home and he wasnt moving. I put him back in the tank he has moved a little but seems very lethargic. He staying in the same spot for the past few hours. I'm wondering if I separate him to a 10gal would it be more traumatic than just leaving him alone. The 10 gal would be just deep enough for him to bury himself.

If he’s injured you may want to isolate him, else his tankmates go after him.

Does he have any obvious physical injuries? Otherwise he could very likely have some internal damage, which is harder to recover from.

No I didn't see any damage from the outside but he wouldn't come out of his shell and usually you cant keep him inside of it.
