Yay!
I have had pets in the past, but my family can’t have any furry or feathered ones due to allergies. I usually try my best to help and currently trying to set up a crabitat. I also try to treat others with Love!❤️

This little guy continues to improve, he’s walking around more though only short distances of 2-3 inches each direction.

I realized he’s missing a leg though!

I’m wondering when to put him back into the main tank. Our other 2 cabs are a fair bit larger. In this photo from a few months ago he’s the red arrow and one of my other crabs is the green arrow.

Should I offer him a certain type of shells? I read on another thread about offering lighter weight shells but I don’t know what to offer.

Do you think he’ll molt again soon to get that leg back? He just molted twice back to back so I’m nervous he won’t make it it he molts again so soon.

NEW QUESTION:

He’s eating and drinking better, walks slowly a bit weird likely because he’s missing a limb, but he is stretching wayyy out of his shell to eat & drink.

I don’t understand. Like over 1/2 his body is out while he eats. There’s 4 other shells in with him which he’s looked at but hasn’t switched to.

Why is he coming so far out of his shell to eat?

I don’t know. Some other people’s crabs that were missing limbs did the same thing during baths. I’m glad it is doing better!

He flinched momentarily if I walk up to check on him. I can’t tell if he’s getting sick again or wants out to explore! He’s been moving around more the last couple days but dodo had that weird behavior about stretching far out of his shell to eat

Do you think Whole Foods would have these? Or would a Moms Organic be a better bet?

I don't know any of the stores you mentioned. Our natural food store is a local family owned store, but 100% organic. I always emphasize organic for everything and everyone.

We got that recipe on this site. I bathe for 2-3 mins based on how the crab reacts. I can't name the medicinal properties of each ingredient off hand, but it's like Neosporin and a protective coating. It's more than that, but it's been a long weekend and my mind is blank. Honey is a healer and so is bee pollen. And they are energy too. If I wasn't so tired, I could tell you more. Research it. Ask for help. Check out the links on this site.
