It looks very similar to a sand flea to me, which is basically another term for sand crab. They need to be returned to the ocean.

I was going to return it when I got the chance but it died because my grandma wouldn't let me go where I needed to buy things for it in the meantime, so it died but I don't feel like I'm the one held responsible for it. It was her laziness. I just turned 16, I can't drive anywhere i want by myself. It had two babies too so I feel really terrible
