Loneliness chirping?

Post by joewats00 » Wed Jun 03, 2020 1:12 pm

My eldest crab, Ford, has been chirping every now and then recently, which is odd considering everyone else is underground. He has no dominance to sort out, is it possible he's just chirping because he's lonely and bored?

Chirping can also be a form of communication. My Es chirp even when nothing is going on. I personally think they know the others are there. One of the biggest mistakes crab owners make is purchasing more crabs when some of their crabbies are down. It is easy for tanks to become overcrowded that way.
Truly blessed to have incredible creatures, wonderful friends and my amazing family in my life!! I'm very thankful & grateful for all of them! www.thehealthyhermit.com
