Hanging out in moss pit, don’t know if he’s eating.

So I have a hermit crab named Phil, and he’s always in the moss pit. I thought he was molting because i didn’t see him for a week or so since the tank upgrade, but then i noticed a tunnel in the moss pit of his size, and i could see his little shell sticking out. One of my other hermit crabs named Huncho is much larger and more active, as at around 9 or 10 he always comes out to eat and crawl around. But i’ve literally never seen Phil move from the moss pit since the first week of the tank upgrade. I’m just worried that he’s not eating. Does someone have an idea as to what’s going on?

He may just like it in there. As for food, he could be eating the moss.
