Newer Crabs in Crabitat

Post by smcgarvey » Sat Jul 11, 2020 2:26 pm

Hi, I added 4 crabs to my habitat which already has 1 crab that I have owned almost 2 years. I have seen 1 of those 4 mostly at night when checking on them, but no signs of the other three and it has easily been about 4 weeks. Is this typical for them to hide for so long? I thought for sure they would be out and about, exploring, climbing etc.. but literally no signs of them since I put them in. 2 of them were really small, like marbles and the other 2 maybe a shell size bigger.
Thanks!

There are probably digging or molting. What size is your tank? Just remember if they are molting NEVER try to dig them up.
