Help! I really need it.

What do I do here? There’s this rim thing that he’s holding onto and he’s latched onto it. I tried pushing him down and tried to get him to crawl in me, but he wouldn’t budge. Now i’m really scared that one of my other crabs isn’t actually molting and has instead escaped. I suspect he got up there using that water pump thing. I don’t believe he can get out though unless he can snip his way through the plastic wrap.

A couple of methods I've had success with getting them to let go:

Gently blow on their body.
Tickle their legs.
Try dripping some water on him.

None of this will hurt them, but it may annoy him enough to let go.

I hope something works for you.

Thanks! I checked on him and i think he liked it up there. he’s been crawling around, but maybe he could be finding a way out. i’ll try these methods. Thanks!

You're welcome! Hopefully he doesn't keep planting himself where the lid needs to be. Image

Actually, do you have a lid? Or just plastic wrap on the top? Just curious.

He’s made a bit of progress, currently almost at the front of the tank.Image

He was in the back right in the first picture.

uhhh i’m a bit scared now... none of my crabs are in their usual places. one of my crabs who loves this one spot under one of my cork bark flats isn’t there anymore and is nowhere to be seen, should i be worried?

My crabbies change sleeping spots a lot. So unless you think there is a real chance someone escaped, it should be ok.
