Congrats on getting it all, can be a little expensive when purchased all at once - thankfully, the cost afterwards is practically nothing!

Look forward to the updated pics, and before and after if possible!

So I got the new tank finally setup, and when I put them in there they were very curious, but as soon as I put them on the sand they immediately came out of their shells, it was really adorable. They are currently in the little cardboard box I have in there, and I will hopefully be getting some decorations soon. I also put 2 new shells in there (Unpainted, Unglossed, and completely natural) that were a little bit bigger than them. I can only supply them freshwater at the moment but the salt water will be coming very soon. Here are the pictures that were promised. (My phone does not take good pictures, Sorry.) (oh yeah, and sand is in the way of the view of Crabby 1, but it will be taken care of)

Cute! I think you said you don’t have a UTH (heater) yet but we’re improvising right? I was going to suggest that if you have a human heating pad you can use that temporarily as a heat source...and when you are financially ready I suggest checking out www.reptilebasics.com and www.beanfarm.com for a more permanent one. Good luck with your new crabbies and welcome!

My home, since winter is coming, stays around 70-80 degrees so I felt like a heating pad wasn't really needed at the moment.

You will definately need a heat source. And a thermometer/ hygrometer so you can monitor the temp and humidity.

Ah, okay. You mentioned the house temp but not the tank temp, so I wasn't sure.

Over the summer I used a human heat pad over my wrapped mesh lid because I was isolating in a new crab in my old 10 gallon that had been moved near the vent and the A/C was cranking away thanks to my husband lol. Problem with mine was in auto turns off after a certain amount of time so I had to keep turning it back on. I also had a UTH on that tank though too so the human pad was just to help. What size tank do you have again?
