Sponges

Post by crabby33 » Wed Oct 17, 2018 1:03 pm

My theory on this is that this is a marketing scheme by the retailers that all people need to do is place the sponge in a bowl of tap water and that the crabs will drink from the sponge. This is taking the easy way out so customers don’t have to give their crabs two water bowls with fresh and salt water.

I think that the theory is that it is "supposed" to help with humidity. - regardless it doesn't work!

You’re right, GotButterflies. It doesn’t work. A heater and moss will, though! As well as bubblers! I am in the process of looking for a new heater for my tank for winter.

I love the ones from www.reptilebasics.com I have one from www.beanfarm.com - and don't care for that one as much. Wodesorel likes the Flukers name brand - I don't have a link for those. :) Good luck!
