Is this a normal behavior?

Post by Ruby_Starla » Sat Aug 29, 2020 8:22 pm

I have noticed one of my PPs regularly drinking the condensation on the side of the glass tank. I usually wipe it down on a regular basis but this guy just seams to enjoy it so I feel like I should leave it. I have deep pools of both dechlorinated fresh water and salt water and change them every 2-3 days. I am not sure if he drinks from them or not since he could be at night. It is fun to watch him though!

Sorry about the reflection of The Daytona race on the tank Image

This is definitely normal!! It may not want to completely submerge but still reap the benefits of absorbing moisture. I would leave more on the glass if they’re enjoying it! Of course making sure it is hermie safe for them to drink (no chlorine, ammonia, or heavy metals)
Kind regards,
