silk plants

Post by avocadocrabbies » Thu Apr 23, 2020 11:45 am

Have been meaning to get some more plastic foliage lately, but I couldn't find any decent sized ones in pet stores or online. Eventually I went to the dollar store and got fake flowers (I plan to rip off the part with leaves and use that) but the leaves and petals are a fabric-y material that's labeled silk? Does anyone know if these are okay to use? They seem a little mold-prone....

They should be fine, although they can be shredded more easily than regular plastic.

Yeah, I have used silk plants in the past, and the crabs tore them apart eventually. Just keep an eye on them, and remove anything that becomes too damaged.
