Submit photos for my art project!

I just had a brilliant idea. I have been wanting to do some fiber art that is hermit crab related. Once I finish my current project (which is a sea turtle) I would like to do a hermit crab! So why not get pictures from you guys as inspiration!

So if you have any really stunning pics of your crabs and would like to share them with me that would be fantastic!

That's all fabric and thread! I appliquéd the shell onto fabric and then used my sewing machine to give it all depth and life!

I hope those pictures explain it better! Im in the process of attaching the turtle to the main background right now. I'm not done with it all yet. There is going to be a lot of beads and embroidery I'm very excited to be in the fun embellishment part!

Oh thank you all so much! Moonbeam and I have been trolling the site looking for photos but I'm glad I asked! There are some real gems in here! To be honest I have wanted to make a hermit wall hanging for a while. Now it looks like I might be making a few!

Well Iv been a quilter/ seamstress for about 3 years. However this is the first time I'm using these techniques. Which are mostly trial and error. The turtle itself probably took only 1-2 hours to sew. But it was the planning that took the most time- oh and glue... Lots of fabric adhesive... Everywhere...

I'm currently sewing beads onto the turtle and I'll be stitching in some more colors and beads in the water before I can call it done. So it might take me a week or so before I call the turtle finished. But I'm very excited to have it complete and also to have the space to start the hermit!

Our crabs are all so cute! I think E's are adorable but I am afraid to get any after hearing how aggressive they are. Wodesorel and Hermitcrab101 both have great pics! I can't see anyone else's for some reason (tapatalk issue maybe).
