Wow, is that 29g tank contains only the cute ruggie?

Yeah, it's just her. I keep hoping I'll trip over more, but mostly she is so active I want to make sure she has the space she needs. ImageImageImageImage

I figure about 150lbs of sand that will need to be mixed outside first. (My lungs and silica dust are enemies and I would like to avoid the ER this time.) With luck we'll get to it by the end of the weekend.

In the meantime, I still think it is pretty even though it is empty.

I do have to brag about the stand for a minute - I custom mixed the color using canned Rustoleum, and I think it came out perfect. I want to repaint all my furniture with it. ImageImageImageImage
Where did you get that background and is it ok for the UTH to go over it? I’d really like to get a background at some point but wasn’t sure how it worked with the UTH.

Edit: wanted to add after going through the whole thread, your little crab is too cute! Great pictures,

If it's an Ultratherm it can be insulated so that means it can be put behind a background. I did that with mine.

Raising daughter's hermit crabs, Shelder, Paras and Derek. Added 2 more of my own (of course) Pete and Stryper. Former mommy to 2 guinea pigs and beloved cat, Nissi

It's upholstery fabric from Walmart, stretched over the UTH and a foil wrapped cardboard backing and secured with double sided fabric tape. The Fluker UTH never get over 120 so it was worth it to me. It might not be worth it for someone else!

Awesome! I will have to look for some fabric backgrounds soon. My UTH is a Vivarium from Reptile Basics that I also have insulated like yours...I’m excited now...thanks!
