Congrats on the recent shell change. I may be wrong, but it looks painted? If so, try offering some natural shells for your crabs as an alternative since painted shells chip due to tjeir habits and can be toxic to the little ones.

It is actually carved. The shell is buffed on the surface expect for spots that were made into designs.

I thought it was painted too when I first found it but then I saw part of it that was original and similar to a natural shell I have.
