Stubborn hermits

Post by Hermitcrabgirl » Sun Dec 29, 2013 1:45 pm

Two of my hermits are being so stubborn. It's driving me crazy. Thor and Cinderella's shells are way two small for them, but they will not change shells! Seriously they are so small that the only thing you can't see are there eyes and whole antennae. Their legs and claws only go in partially! I try and try but they just won't change. Cinderella is in a painted shell, which makes me want to get her out of it even more. Thor's shell isn't painted, but it is still too small. Does anyone know a way to encourage them to change shells?

Sometimes you can add a little salt water in the shells and that will make them more interested. I posted to one of your other threads with a page of info on shells hope that helps.
