Food orders

Post by ciaraalston » Sun Jun 17, 2018 5:18 am

So, I finally got both of my hermies kitchen orders and an order from Hermit Crap Patch! My little stock is slowing growing! Here's what I got from HK:

I made a list of what I have:

Some of it came from HCP, I just forgot to take pics of those orders.

So, what do y'all think? Is there anything y'all recommend I should add to my stock? HCP and HK are the only 2 places I've ordered from online, does anyone else have any favorite shops y'all get goodies from?

Also, I'll be storing everything in baby food jars. I just haven't picked them up from my father in law yet. Lol

I recommend leaving them in their original packaging. They will stay fresh longer that way. You can squeeze the air out each time you use them and seal them tight. Also...this would be a way of defining what your hermits like and do not like.

It came in the mix orders but it didn't have a label so I assumed dried cranberries? It was from HK. Its soft so it's definitely a fruit though

I have ordered frequently from Hermit Crab Patch. I always leave things in the original bag, and then store them in the freezer. I don't know if it's totally necessary, but I figure it keeps it fresh longer.

I do not store any of my dried foods in the freezer, they are bagged up and stored in the pantry.
