Is it just sand, or is it sand mixed with EE? Is it mixed with dechlorinated msw or dechlorinated fw?

If it just smells like sand... its pretty normal.

Does it smell industrious - like oil or machinery?
Wet? Stale? Without describing it, I really cant help out much.

I've had a ee mix with sand before never smelled nothing ... smells strong and wired

I'm sure it is fine - You probably just aren't used to it! It's an earthy smell that takes some getting used to! :)

Could it be the dechlorinated water - if you use prime, it can smell pretty off!
