Artemis, Day 14 carrying eggs

This area is dedicated to the pioneers who have captive bred crabs, and for those who wish to learn more or attempt it themselves. Also for inquiring about the gender of your crabs.

They’re all soooo stinking cute!! Super big congrats!! Maybe someday we will get to that level here in our home, but that won’t be anytime soon! Please when the time comes, I want to be in line for one of those sweet little babies too! (Or two.) I just ordered a dish from you, Mary, can’t wait for it to arrive! Soooo happy for you to have so many adorable itty bitties!!!!

Her dishes, and babies are amazing! I would be paranoid with those little guys. I imagine you need a fairly simple tank to keep track of them. We can't even keep track of our 30 crabs. I couldn't even imagine 200+!

Hey Mary, Do you have names picked out for all of them yet? :hlol:
crab 1, crab 2, crab 3........crab 200?

It's like 101 dalmatians . So hard to keep track of each and every one!

You guys crack me up. :hlol:

It is SO hard to keep track of them all. Started a new full count today and we're up to 195 as I tucked them all in tonight. Found them congregating in big groups, all snuggled together happily. They seem to be really companionable little creatures, thankfully. I have been concerned that they might get feisty or even cannibalistic as they grew. Doesn't seem to be happening, though, for which I'm relieved and grateful.

A couple were pinching my palm really hard--one even pulled up the skin on my palm.

And I'm seeing black toe tips, hairy legs, and on the older two even purple splotches starting on their big pinchers. :cloud9:

Oh me and my Kids have been loving the pictures of those sweet little ones! They couldn’t get over how tiny they are. (Me neither really!) You’re amazing! Thanks for the updates, I am enjoying seeing them grow, as I’m sure everyone is!!

I got my little dish a few days ago and I am loving it! Can’t wait to order more from you- so pretty and fun!
I can’t believe they were able to grab on to you like that already!! Amazing.

I am planning an adoption weekend this summer in Lockport, N.Y., pick up only. It's going to be July 13th and 14th. There's a link on my website (blog page) for the adoption form to get approved. I'm not handling the adoption approval process (just too much for me to take on in addition to everything else), but I do have some reliable, long-time crab owners doing it for me. :)
