Crabby Friends
Hello, I have had my crab for about 4yrs now and he is doing really well molting, switching shells ect. he is the only one that lived out of a group that I originally got and I just didn't get anymore so its just been the one. Is he lonely ? do I need to get him some buddies ? Was just wondering since all I have ever heard is they are so very social .

Re: Crabby Friends
I think that this is a hard question to answer that is up to personal interpretation.
HCA does recommend that each hermit crab have at least one species buddy.
There are reports however of lone crabs living just fine in other set up and they seem happy.
I personally always think that having more than one is a better option.

I have owned Hermit Crabs for 2 Years
I have 1 E named Monkey and 2 PP named Shy Guy and Little P
I also own 1 PP named Dory who stays in my classroom
