Little bits of mold

Post by Hermielover121 » Mon May 18, 2020 11:13 am

I have been seeing little blobs of mold on the surface of there sub and I am getting worried. There food does get moldy sometimes but I clean it as soon as it does. They don’t really eat there food since only one is up. Do you think there is a bacterial outbreak? I have a 20 set up for them but I don’t have the heat mat for it and one is molting. I am really scared

No, it’s just a fungus. You can remove them as they appear. If it becomes problematic you can lower your humidity to seventy percent to reduce available moisture.

So it won’t hurt them.

I personally don't ever recommend reducing humidity to lower than 80 percent. Just remove the mold. Are you spraying your tank to raise the humidity?

Well once and a while yes but I don’t think I need to.

Okay - great! Misting definitely isn't recommended. It can lead to flooding. :)
