clouded/ fogged shells?

Post by crabs_lex » Tue Jan 12, 2021 3:16 pm

hii
does anyone else have a problem with some of their crabs’s shells getting i guess you would say fogged up? like they get cloudy and it only clears with water but it comes back right away once it’s wet. is it just me? because i’m super curious why they r doing this.

We have some issues with shells getting faded. Where they look bleached out. It's due to them laying on the sand and literally being sanded. We wiped organic olive oil on the faded shells and that made them brighter again for a while, they eventually fade again though.
