New Pool, Crabs Under

Post by hermiwormi » Mon Nov 26, 2018 8:10 pm

I need to install a larger fw pool since crabs are molting, growing, and using larger shells. I'm pretty nervous to install it though, considering there are crabs under. All have completed molts, however. How should I go about burying the new fw pool?

Do you have any areas that they don’t dig? This would be hard bc you don’t want to collapse any tunnels or accidentally crush anyone. I think if you dig on a side area carefully you might be ok. Hopefully someone will have some better advice for you.

You need to wait until they come up. Better to be safe than sorry. If you install it while crabs are down, you can collapse tunnels.
