Wow, those are both some of the BIGGEST E's i have EVER Seen!!!!But they are 100% E's. As for PP's having red eyes, it is normal, i see several when i go to the beach and look in the shop that sells them, they must have like 200 in there, but several have black eyes while several others have red eye...

They are adorable, hope you have got the tank all nice and set up. Those are indeed Ecuadorians, cute little guys at that. Keep us updated on their health and activity and let us know if we can help in any way. :)

As for a boost in the humidity, moss smells, but helps with humidity and damp sand helps a whole lot. Post pics of the little guys once you get everythi...

Good luck with the new guys, keep a close eye on them for signs of stress, molts, or agression. Are they all the same species and have access to both fresh and salt water?

Is there any salt water in the tank? You say you don't know the species and if the species are indeed relient on salt water, 3 weeks without it could be the reason for your hermies unexpected death. As for the black dots, can you get a picture? I'm not wuite sure what you mean. The next thing you ne...

She may just naturally be pink, do you have a pic? Otherwise like they said, just isolate the crab and maybe buy some cuttlebone from the bird section in the pet store and crush it up for the little guy. Keep the temp and humidity up as well.

Not much of my wood and stuff will fit in the oven so i usualy sun dry it. I don't deep clean that often, partly because its just hard to c...

I did not srop the legs, instead just used them as is would have if it had perfect legs, some of the tips of the leg broke off, but it ended up molting again and came out just fine, as if nothing ...

Not necesarily bad but my Es have never even touched them. Well, there was one incident where one moved into one, but moved out right way. Nothing wrong with the shell, just not a common shell choice among Es.

You're right, it does look a lot like my cav! Well, make sure it has plenty of saltwater, cavs seem to really get stressed out when they haven't had saltwater in a while. The one i posted pics about yesterday sat and drank forever and took some with him and did the whole tkaing water in dance. Anywa...
