Mine didn't really do anything either but I just figured it was because the water was too cold (50-60 degrees) to work right. So I just stuck with my bubble pools and when it gets warmer out I'll try it again.

When I first went in for some reason I wasn't able to type in the box so I had to sign out then sign back in and it was fine. Maybe you had the same problem?

If you already have new clean sand I would just throw the old stuff out and replace it.

Thanks, I just decided it would be easier if I just bought some play sand and mixed in the oyster shell myself. Is there a certain brand or store that sells better play sand then others?

Haha my tank isn't that big

That's what I was worried about. I'm thinking about emailing her asking if she could make up the mix but not add the coconut fiber or is that too weird of a request?

TCP Substrate Mixture

Has anyone ever bought the premade substrate mixture from the crabbage patch? My mom saw it when I was browsing and really wants me to get it. I do need more sand since I have upgraded and don't really want to buy play sand because I have only used sand from the beach and don't plan on getting to a ...

I also agree with sorejoints and kathy. I'm sure in the wild they have a tunnel collapse and can dig out just fine but just because they are able to doesn't mean I go around and collapse them. If I know there is a tunnel and I have to move something around in the tank to clean or whatever else I wil...

I don't see how making a sub forum that at the very least will teach people who want to learn more about the MHC will be wasted energy, nor do I feel like it will be taking time away from the LHC. If you don't want to learn about the MHC then you don't have to ever go to that part of the forum but f...

So if you used a rheostat for lamps it would just dim the bulb? That doesn't sound that bad if that is the case.

I was looking at getting that same thing but I was wondering how well it actually worked. To me it's worth the 20 bucks if it keeps the temps stable and where they need to be but I don't want to spend the money on that when I could spend it on something else if it doesn't work.

I was thinking of getting that with my next order from them. I could make it myself, I already have all the things I need since I have fish but I need new water bowls and I like giving to them (the crabbage patch) because they are very nice. The only thing I'm not sure about is the size, it says it'...

I'm not that big of a risk taker to try it without someone else trying it and saying it was OK first. I'm not even sure which type of poppy it is, it kinda looks like an oriental poppy but then again it doesn't. These ones have more petals and don't have black spots near the center but they are the ...

poppies?

Are poppies safe? My niece just picked some orange poppies from a neighbors yard and I was wondering if I could give a flower to my crabs. I looked on the safe plant list and didn't see it so I'm not sure. I know about poppies and what they are used for but I don't know if that would also affect cra...

That's what I was thinking too. As long as it never drops under 70, which I don't think it will, they should both be fine with the temp.
