I clean all my tanks for crabs and other reptiles with a 50% vinegar water solution. Rinse well until you can no longer smell the vinegar.

It is very hard to tell with these nocturnal critters if all is well. Unless you pull an all nighter to watch their every move. I kind of keep an eye out when i put in some of their favorite food (like fish). If there are any that don't come running for that they I will keep a closer eye on them.

I would go for a couple of Es. They are usually quite entertaining!
