my guys get blueberries, black berries and strawberries a couple times a week- if I can't get my hands on fresh (or afford them the can be HORRIBLY expensive up here! ) Then I use organic, unsweetened frozen ones. I put it in their dish frozen and it gradually thaws. They especially love the ...

With the current exchange rate, it works out to $98.76 US.
If it'd been $600 US, we'd have had to make you the charter member & poster child for crabaholics anonymous. :P
LMBO! That was my thought too!

Sour Grass

Rumex acetosella
Sheep Sorrel or Sour Grass

Edible for humans slightly lemony. I grew up nibbling the stuff. :P Anyone know if it's crabby safe?

I agree with Silent Protagonist- Dominance and Aggression are not the same. To me, Dominant means it wants to be on top of the pack, the leader, the one to eat first, get the best sleeping spots, the best shells etc... I hear it all the times with dogs. People saying their dog is aggressive when rea...

Our twice a week farmer's markets are calling me. I have a dehydrator now so I will have to go buy some of our super fresh, organic produce for both the crabs and my family LOL! I know how much my crabbies love NaRnAR's foods so I'm excited to get more in :D I've been meaning to for a while now, jus...

OK. you made me do it LOL! I HAD to have that Just Beachy pack and the Seafood Sampler. And then I spied the Coco-Palm Oil, Hibiscus Flowers, Summer-Time Flatbread, and a nice new, big shell for either Speedy (who is in a shell that's too big but refuses for change to something more reasonable) or S...

I use Oceanic also. I have found it easiest to use a 1 gallon jug of distilled water ($1.17) and toss in the 1/2 cup of Oceanic. Mix well and then just keep it in the cupboard and use as needed. If you want to just buy the water once and reuse the jug, you can add the appropriate amount of dechlorin...

A trick I do: I mist, feed, give fresh water and clean the tank in the late evening. this usually gets everyone into a frisky mood and they come out earlier than if I feed them in the morning or afternoon. For eggshell this morning, each tank got half of a baked eggshell (intact) filled with scrambl...

Steam distilled or natural spring water is fine. I would avoid de-ionized water as there are no minerals left behind at all, and some of those trace elements are needed (at least in my opinion - though that's not worth much LOL) MamaZelly mentioned terracotta pots/saucers. Those are some of my favor...

you could boil or poach them :) or scramble some and put them in mini muffin tins and bake them :D Toss in some veggies for a crabby fritata! yay!

I'm guessing canola, safflower, sunflower oils would work as well. EVOO is just the healthiest choice (at least for US LOL)

okay, I did the olive oil. So far EVERYONE has investigated the shells and I think licked them LMBO! But other than that no shell swaps. Could happen later of course, I'll keep you updated. Scooby poked around at the shells but was FAR more interested in the still slightly warm organic oatmeal with ...
