I have PP's and of my 5, all the 3 biggest love shell swapping. The smallest of the 3 even tried to attack the second biggest for a shell she had changed from. I moved her to ISO for a day, then back. The next morning she had the shell she had tried to fight for and no one was any worse off. Kinda s...

Dug up Molter? Will He Survive?

This reply was in response to a post on "First Shell Change", in which I told them I had dug gently in my tank due to a horrible smell and that I had found Herman and he was alive (still unmolted) and I gently recovered him with loose sand. What about everyone else? Did I mess up? What have you done...

I've noticed the water in my tank disappearing quickly just the past couple of days. No sand or other reasons for it. However, I did notice that one of my large PP's was digging again. Haven't seen either one for a while, but one resurfaced a couple nights ago apparently judging by the huge trench, ...

I feel certain that my Bandit did a surface molt without my noticing. She spent 99% of her time face down in a hole and there were a few days that she didn't even leave any tracks at the food and water dish. Just a few days ago, I noticed she had moved into a MUCH bigger shell (too big) and when I g...

I quickly came to realize that my biggest crabby is the sweetest, most docile one of the bunch. I've heard that different sizes actually get along better because they don't fight over shells. My Herman is a sweetheart! He's by far the biggest and he's my first crabby. Can't wait for him to resurface...

My Bashful loves the stage 1 Beechnut bananas& peaches and sweet potatos with chicken. They are all natural; no seasoning, preservatives, etc. Along with that I give her peanut butter with honey, ground eggshells, brine shrimp, red pepper, carrots, mango, blueberries, seaweed, etc. (but not all at t...

Hi!
I haven't been on here for long, but I actually saw a few people post that they don't even ISO their molters. As a matter of fact, it seems about 50/50. I have 3 under in the same tank, so I guess time will tell. :)

Nope, no plastic plants near bulbs. The smell isn't as strong today, tho. Hmmm....
