Its not a real bonsai tree, just a plastic replica. Allthough I am considering putting some live plants in there. Neither of my big guys like the moss pit, or even climbing for that matter. I was hoping for something on the ground for them. I do have the vines, and they do tend to drag those around ...

Hides for jumbos?

What do you guys use for hideys for jumbo crabs? I have 2, and they rarely dig down to hide. They can fit under my bonsai, but they don't ever try. They worry me, the little buggers.

are you suggesting coconuts migrate! LOL.
Yeah, the husks are in there. THey seemed to enjoy that better than the actual cocounut. There were little bite marks out of it, I just think that only a few got to eat it before it was hidden and made disgusting.

I found it last night, it was under the shell pile! I moved it, and this morning I could see that it was a little smaller. These guys really dont' eat much.

Hmmm, my humidity is about 85 right now. I have no clue where the coconut is. I'll probably try to get it back in the open when I get home, jsut so the other guys can get to it. I'm assuming somebody hid it for later consumption.

Last night all I put in was a hunk of coconut, I want them to eat the fresh foods, all they've been eating is dry stuff. THey moved it, I hope somebody's eating it, not just hoarding it.

I would err on the side of caution. If you don't know, why risk it? Just bc they are related doesn't mean they're both safe.

They finally ate something fresh ( I think)

My guys have never gone for any of the fresh foods I've tried with them. I've done hibiscus flowers, papaya leaves, carrots, apples, banana, mango, greens, but they've only eaten the dry foods, like the shrimp, oats, rice, alfalfa pellets, and my dog and cat food. They go crazy over the dog and cat ...

I went searching and I found somewhere between 8&12. I haven't seen them since I put them in. They're in a 55, so I wasn't really expecting to see them much. Man, I used to find those things everywhere when I was a kid, and now, almost nothing. I'm going to try to find more today.
