If anyone is really that broken up about not finding any in their yards I could always harvest some and pack them in a ...

I'm sure craft glue isn't too good for hermies, but I'm not 100% sure.

You can always go out to Home Depot and get yourself some 100% silicone. Get the kind for windows, kitchen and bath silicone often has stuff for mold and mildew. I've also heard some Depots have aquarium silicone.

On Crabstreetjournal, a lot of crabbers who keep their sand dry find the hermies will moisten the substrate too.

Yup, should be that damp for the crabs to make nice tunnels.

Your sand shouldn't mold. :)

IF it gets too wet, stick a brick of EE in their and let it absorb the excess water.

The crab sizing chart is in the Crab Care FAQ thingy. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The biggest thing I'd change is putting more things for the crabs to climb and hide in. Get a shower caddy or two and turn it into a moss pit(second one a shell shop if you have one), put the cholla wo...

I know moss raises humidity badly, but seeing Sven and Harvey enjoying it made me not want to take it away from them.

And yes, I made sure Sven could still fit completely.

If you could I would keep both and get a mesh top. My crabbies love the saltwater pool (especially at night...I can hear them splashing around in there) and they love the moss pit to sleep in during the day. If you could get a way to vent your tank then you could have the best of both worlds!...

The humidity is probably much better ground level. Calibrate it, and then move it down and wait a bit to see what it says before doing anything(cause you don't want the humidity to be too high like mine was ) If you really want a digital hygrometer, Wal Mart has a digital combo for around $7. ...
