Last night I offered some freeze-dried pineapple that I just crumbled into the food dish (along with some of the usual variety of foods), and I had a crowd around the dish fighting for the pineapple...by the morning they had polished it all off! Guess I found a new hit with my crabbies!

I found Flukers medley for turtles on sale at Petsmart the other day. It has dried crickets, meal worms, and grass hoppers. No other added ingredients are listed. I fed it to my guys last night and it was almost gone by this evening!!! I have seen this at the store and thought about buying ...

I had some of that background in my first little crabitat, but it molded pretty quickly with the humidity...so I ended up having to throw it out.

Just moved 15 of my 19 crabs into the new 75 gal today (the other 4 are still underground in the 50 gal...and I'm not chancing digging them up). First dinner in the new tat...a couple of pinches of a few of Kili's Kibbles, some freeze-dried bloodworms and krill, and some fresh pineapple!

My crabbies LOVE corn too!...I get these organic freeze dried sweet corn kernels at the grocery store and they go crazy every time I feed them.

Also, fresh picked rose petals! (My crabs won't even touch dried flowers)

Wow! What a great idea. I've seen some cicada sheds in my backyard the last few weeks and never thought about feeding them to the crabs. Now I will have to go out and look around to see if I can collect some for the crabbies!

Sebby, I really like that idea with the fishnet for access. I have similar containers I use for pools and have been trying to come up with a new idea to allow easy in and out access for my smaller crabs, but still leave plenty of room in the dishes for my bigger crabs to submerge if they choose to. ...

My 6 Es live together with my 10 PPs, and everyone seems to get along just fine. The Es run around day and night, the PPs usually come out more in the evenings, but I have not noticed any aggression within species or between the two different species.

I've been using fishing net in my tat for over a year for my crabbies to access their 2nd level moss pit & shell shops and I have never had a problem. My crabs range in size from teeny Es to large/borderline jumbos PPs.

There's a full blown colony in the tank - despite my efforts to get rid of them.
Deep clean time. :/
Wish me luck
Bummer! Good luck with your deep clean!
