What is your substrate? Fungus gnats love EE, I don't really think they do any harm they're just an annoyance.

Again a betta is really the only thing I would consider for anything that size. Though even with betta I've found the larger a space you give them the more active they are.

Re: A mix of questions and concerns : P

In the depths of my basement, there behold a small 2 gallon fish bowl. I thought, "I wonder what I could use that for". So for an hour of contemplation, I have come to a few options: marine hermits, a betta, or some other small fish. I would really like marine hermits if possible, maybe I could fit...

worse comes to worse you can pierce the top skin of the silicone with a knife or such to let the moisture trapped in the under layers to escape while giving it a bit of heat with the lamp.

I told him that I thought the salt water, but that if they wanted the 100% pure calcium supplement for reptiles would be ok. The one without D3 that is just calcium.

When I had book louse in my tank it did not seem that they jumped. It didn't seem like they particularly bothered the crabs either, they just drowned in the pools a lot.

Crabs are not affected by the chemicals in peppers that make them spicy to us. The only pepper they can't have in the seasoning type like black pepper.

Depends on the seahorse really. If you go with dwarf seahorses they say no. If you go with the larger seahorses [realize some get 14 inches or more from tail to top of head] then yes. However we have our marine tank set up with fish. We were going to do a dwarf seahorse tank, but decided with both o...

Sand from the hardware store is like 3 or 4 dollars per 50 lb bag. The dollar stores generally have fake plants and such for pretty cheap. Terra cotta pots and such make decent hides and can be found some as cheap as 99 cents.

Not that particular one. But we have about 30 like him running around in our reef tank. That particular one belongs to another Utah reefer. Those tiny lil guys are so much fun to watch, I'll have to attempt to get video of them someday, they run up to each other, stand there for a few seconds and th...
