Some of my PPs have gone very blue in streaks on their legs with the undersides remaining peach. I feed a variety of store bought foods, but I have noticed that the color really started to change after I added a uvb fluorescent that runs during the day. Obviously this is not a fail safe as I have ot...

Double sided all weather tape, just make sure that the matting covers it all! I've used it to hang shower caddies, that stuff is tough! Oh, and make sure everything is how you want it before you press down... its not going to move once you've pushed everything together :) great idea!!

I've got PPs and Es :) they both seem to have about the same activity levels, which surprised me because I've always heard PPs are less active. When I started crabbing about a year and a half ago, I started with just PPs and they were fairly inactive. It was very interesting to me because as soon as...

I've had the same light installed in my 55 for a few weeks now and I'm having the exact opposite result! Few come out during the day, but as soon as it switches over to red night lighting (I have everything on a timer) it's time to PARTAY! My husband and I now switch off all our room lights when the...

I use all weather tape, the crabs can't get to it behind the caddy. I just run a long strip of it and it won't move! :)

I actually always use distilled water and also use salt water that is bottled in gallon jugs and has all sorts of live good bacteria, etc in it and is supposed to closely approximate sea water (It's made for use in salt water aquariums). I've been using this combo for going on a year and a half and ...

I cracked up when I saw this thread because I was having a glass of juice earlier today and randomly thought... I wonder if the crabs can have juice! Thanks for the ideas :)
