that is so cute! im inspired now.

I noticed several people posting about putting grass seed and bird seed in their tanks. Is this safe, and if it is, what kinds of seeds are ok to throw in?

I do switch out the food daily. Rice is one of those occasional things I give them.

My hermies love white rice. I have had dug in crabs come up when I put a small dish of rice in the tank. They all circle the dish and pack it away! I have never seen hermies eat so much the first time I gave them rice.

Thanks Jedediah. I was worried about the crabs getting into that stuff so I just put some in the corners and also changed my tank lid to a flat piece of Plexiglas.

i added some today and have some trouble with them climbing up to the top of the tank. I dont want them loose in my room. any suggestions?

so far they have hidden themselves and are getting along with the crabs.

I have an all sand substrate and caught close to 20 pill bugs. Everyone is getting along, and my hermies seem more active now.
