For me, they're they only thing that seems to hold up in the humidity.

My humidity often goes up to 85, sometimes higher, and my straws don't seem to mind at all. I think that if your tank is 80/80 most of the time, you should be fine. My strawberries are the calmest crabs in my tank and for me they're the ones that are most active during the day. I say go for it!

It doesn't matter. You can feed it to them dry or you can rehydrate it. I find that my crabs sometimes prefer their food dehydrated and sometimes not. Good luck!
