I called Canadian Border Services because I needed to find out what I needed to bring my cat and dog over...and the Canadian Border Officer said hermit crabs arent regulated so they're safe to transport across the border but do need to be declared.

Moving from the US to Canada with land hermit crabs

Hermies arent regulated so they're okay to bring across the border from US to Canada!! They just need to be declared.

Hubby took a job in Canada that will make us relocate. Im SOOO excited I dont hafta give up my babies!!!

Yea Im thinking the UTH overheated and its not something I can salvage...the crack is deep all the way from one side of the tank to the other...if I lifted the tank up empty it would just crumble...I have another tank coming tomorrow. Im just not sure if my medium is molting or not...Ive never seen ...

My tank cracked!!!

I am SOOOOOOOOOOO upset!!! My nice 45 gallon tank has a HUGE crack going from one end of the bottom to the other!! Hubby and I were watching tv and the one day we heard a large cracking sound but thought it was a crabbie hitting the glass...turned out we had a defective UTH and it cracked the WHOLE ...

Hey Wodesorel, I went to the butcher at a local grocery store and the shrimp they have...they are previously frozen and frozen in a brine. Yea the frozen package shrimp they add sodium nitrate or something so they absorb more water and look bigger. I guess its the previously frozen shrimp you can purchase at the butchers block is probably the same packaged stuff...but I will look into it. Chicken liver thats a good idea freezing it and...

Awesome thanks a bunch! that helps a ton! Right now, according to the nutrient list...I only lack a protein of some form which I will fix that problem tomorrow :)

Coconut is a norm in our house as the dog also eats it so that is no problem :)

Awesome! I know my 2 guys love mango and they hide it away or bury it if they don't eat the whole chunk right there. Now when you give them coconut...do you grate it or leave it in chunks? Raw shrimp...I will need to pick some up. Is there anything they are not supposed to have? I know iodized salt ...
