Re: Rattie's adventure!

It didn't turn out to be Coral. Instead, he became Noah.

Here he is:

Re: Rattie's adventure!

I made it a short adventure. He had a nice, jungle feeling tank when he went back. No worries.

And yes, indeed! I am going to PetSmart tomorrow and I'm getting him a girlfriend. I hate depriving them of social interaction. I'm thinking of naming her Coral.

Rattie's adventure!

I told Rattie out for his first walk outside in the backyard. I figured since it's warming up because summer is coming, I would give him a special treat since his tank mates have died and he is on his own. He needs some fun. The backyard is nothing. No grass, just dry dirt that's been sitting there ...

Liquid in the shell

Every time I pick up King, he dribbles liquid all over the place! None of my other crabs do this, but I don't know why King does, does he keep water in his shell or is it something else I'm not aware of? :?:

Re: Molting still??

Mussles is too. However, I can occasionally spot him under the sand. And usually, when a crab passes away, I've heard that they put off a very unpleasant smell, similar to a rotting fish. But, I'm not too entirely sure if that's true. Are there any signs on his location under the sand?

They should be fine. School's out with me tomorrow and I will be gone in and out of the house. All you really should do is change the food and water and keep the tank misted. And I'm not to sure about the heat, I haven't had a chance to get a heater yet... :|

I'm sorry. I really don't know how to help with your Peach. But I can relate to your situation with being worried. One of my hermit crabs, Something was out for some exercise, and I forgot about her, this was at about 4, and I didn't realize she was missing until about 7. I was so worried about her ...

Since they probably were in bad conditions, when they saw your tank substance, they were probably overjoyed to have a better place to molt.
