I don't have an iso either- some people say that it's better to have one but I think it's more of a stressor to the poor guy that's being isoed! I do have a spare tank and substrate for emergencies though:)

hermit crabs sometimes like to molt together i guess... mine always are underground at the same time. and now that you have better conditions, im sure that they have been prolonging molts and took this good opportunity to molt:)
nothing to be worried about!:)

I just bought a bag of oceanic from pet world ( they had four million crabs with low humidity, but other than that it's better than I've seen in awhile) and I can't wait for the crabs to finish molting so I can use it! It's super cheap too. Instant ocean wasn't sold in small packages by me, only mon...

Thanks! And thanks everyone for the advise! I also have two more questions. I made a super cool climbey out of some old wooden dowels and some twine. I made it a raft at first but it wasn't holding so I just went nuts with the twine, wrapping it and weaving it. I think it looks like fun, but I'm ner...

There used to be the coolest rock store by my old house, we would buy cool rocks aaaall the time. I have an awesome piece of agate but it's dyed pink so I assumed it wouldnt be safe.

Tat safe or not?

I am in the process of setting up my new twenty gallon, and I have a ton of ideas but I don't know if they are safe or not. My aunt owns a gravel pit and I got a ton of nice rocks there to use (cleaned, of course) that I want to attach with silicon to create a rock featurr and the focal point would ...

I want to buy some of this stuff too, but I was wondering if hot glue is safe in the tank? I wouldn't think it'd be safe with the water dishes, but what about other things in the tank?

Thank you very much! At my local dollar store they sell huge bags of super small shells, I have plans on using those for something. I just picked up the tank yesterday, I can't wait to start decorating it:)
