HCA: Hermit Crab Association

I was kinda surprised on how tight the burlap was around each crab. It was a good thing that they were only bound (from what we are told) for the 24 hour period.

I heard that Blueberries are the friendliest -not as active as "E's" and not shy like Violas. I ordered two straws from LHC in August, but they didn't send any extras. I feel gypped - no not really. It would have been nice, but I love the two I received.

I know what you mean. I have my 55 gallon tank next to my computer and bed. I keep the red lights on at night so I can watch them play and eat whenever I turn around. It also works as a distraction when I do work on the computer. Right now one of my straws is dragging a silver fish under a stump.

Oh well, I just received about 30 new shells from them. I wish I had known about the discount code. - The crabs didn't care - they loved the shells.Lisa

Let us know what condition they arrive in. I was thinking about getting straws from them but I'm really leery. I don't need to introduce mites or sick crabs to the iso tank.

sdevine,where in Charlotte, N.C. did you purchase your straws? I'm from the other side of the state, off of 95. About 5 hours away. But my nephew's in-laws are from Charlotte. Did they have any Blueberries too?
