need advise on heating. since it is two tanks sharing some air space, can i use a repti light on one side only? should i put a ut heater on the other side? i didnt want to buy them both, but i wasnt sure if just the light alone would surfice. any ideas? anyone else do a similar tank setup? i'm flyin...

this project is coming along, slowly, but i have the plexi glasscut and paid for. the sides out of both 10 Gs and getting ready to silacone the pieces together. my 12 yr old son is blogging it for his big homeschool science project.

@wodesorel, do you have a pic of how you have the plastic canvas? i think thats a great idea, but cant see it. i am going to use glad wear containers and have plastic canvas already. thanks. or if you could describe more of how you have it. ty.

i am still researching, but have decided to do a DIY 20 G tank out of two 10 G's. Both 10's i have , have a broken long side, but other ways they are in good condition. i searched the company name and it just took me to dollar tree. i dont even have my setup or crabs yet, so i have time to check them out. It says natural moss, but thats not saying what they used to adhere it to the net.

sphagnum moss sheets.
i just bought some sphagnum moss sheets at the dollar tree. they are attatched to a plastic netting. the brand is Floral Garden. any one use these? how do i find out if they are ok?

can i silecone some of the coconut fiber sheet to the back of the tank/ or do i need to remove it regularly? i dont mind regluing it every month or so, will that be ok? i plan on stteing it above the sand surface and piling rocks up so the crabs can climb up to it. also should i glue the rocks toget...

nice job. I would love to make my 55 into a huge crabby habitat, but my red eared slider is using it. i dont ctually own any crabbies yet, but will be setting up a ten for them, i want it to be natural looking. nice inspiration.
