Cannibalism is what sounds like happened, what happened was when the other crabs were molting there smell smelled like food to the other crab and it ate them. So the crab didn't do it on purpose its just its nature. I had that happen to one of my crabs too. sorry but i think all of the other crabs w...

It also could have been because the silicone was thicker than half an inch

Darn 
I just did my pools last night with the same exact stuff, I dont know whats going to happen but ill test them and see what happens. Nothing works now the aquarium sealant i used didnt work either.

When you guys do your backgrounds and waterfalls do you cover the foam with anything else, or is it just the outer layer?
