Re: From a 29 Gallon to a 49 Gallon
Yw ^.^, Yea had to come up with a few things that I had laying around the house as well lol. It is usually soft plastic so a drill would just break it. I found that a baby safety pin worked great but be careful with it cause it can slide. Once in, just lightly move the needle in a circle motion to ...

Re: From a 29 Gallon to a 49 Gallon
They do have the life, and they rolled popcorn all over last night.
I thought the sand looked neat too, but I'm really liking the white sand so I'm thinking I might move some more out into the middle a bit.

Re: From a 29 Gallon to a 49 Gallon
That is a GENIUS idea. I don't have any needles that big so I'll have to pick one up, but that's great! I tried the fire thingy but those just ended up breaking off, or I didn't do it right. Thank you!

From a 29 Gallon to a 49 Gallon
I got a heck of a deal on Craigslist. A 49 Gallon bowfront tank with a nice stand for $50. The 29 Gallon was great but I was in the market for a more appealing set up, and maybe a potential home to another E in the future. Here's the old tank. We live in Iowa, and my tank is kept on a four season po...

Ultratherm Questions
This might seem like a ridiculous question, but today I got my Ultratherm in the mail. It's 11x23 and it came in a box, the Ultratherm in a bag, and the Ultratherm is in laminate. The laminate STAYS ON, correct? Gah, there's two layers, so I'm not sure if I'm supposed to peel one off or not.

Re: Water Dishes and Air Stone Thingy
Are all the goodies, the stones and such inside the pools siliconed down, or are they just in there? I'm doing a rebuild and making pools right now and I'm not sure whether to try if it will all just come loose.

Re: New Tank-Need Heat info
Thanks, but according to the family, I'm wrong. During the winter days we keep a pellet burning stove on that porch, but at night it's just house heat on the porch set for 64, and it does well to maintain the temp in that room even with all the windows. I've decided going to invest in an ultratherm,...

New Tank-Need Heat info
Hey all. I recently acquired a 45 gallon bow front and I have some questions about heating. Currently my crabs are in a 29 gallon with a Large Repti-Sun UTH on the back that I keep insulated with just foil, and I have a heat lamp as a primary/secondary source for when the tank needs it. I believe go...
