Re: Excessive Molting?
I've had new crabs molt like crazy, but never one that's been around for a while. My crabs have a history of molting and going down a week or two later and molting again, til they hit large size, then they chill out. And I know they molted because their color changed every time.

Re: I saw one of my clypeatus hunting isopods last night!!!
I think since it's been so warm here I'm going to catch me a few this summer. I just have to smuggle them in without anyone seeing them, fiance and roomies would have a FIT! I've never seen a bluish/purplish one, maybe ours our super healthy? I used to roll them up and flick them as a child

Re: Chirping...is it always a bad sign?
When both of my Es were alive they would chirp at each other. They were best friends, they would just sit in the corner and talk every night. I had a PP that was a chirper and squealer too, for no reason I ever found. I have since lost that PP and one of the Es though, so all has been sadly quiet.

Re: How long between molts?
My 2 PPs were smallish when I got them, and they were both molting every 1-2 weeks for a few months. I've been blessed with fast molters. They got big in a hurry. Now they've kind of chilled out and only go down about once every 1-2 months. I've had them maybe 7 months or so and we have upgraded she...
