Re: What's on today's menu & recipe sharing
I have 4 crabs on the surface and I always put out too much i find. And I change my food every 2 days and water every 3. I fond a good trick is to remove all the food about 5 hours before I put in new food. That way i can put in food that was there the day before and they will eat it. They need a go...

Re: Adding more EE with possible molters?
ok for my fruit fly traps I use half water, half apple cider vinegar in a bowel with a few drops of dish soap. I then put saran wrap over top and poke a few holes in it so they can get in but have trouble finding their way out. This "should" work after a day or so of sitting around.

Re: Adding more EE with possible molters?
I've added about 2 inches of sand/EE with molters down and I still hear them digging about, just be careful not to mess around too much and cave someone in.

Re: Should I move him?
I would put something on top of him and under the food dish myself. Then you could still change the water without disturbing him. Since he's already molted he should be ok even if you were to take him out to iso him but it'll be stressful for him. Do you have cocofiber wall you could cut to the size...

Re: Came back up after a month
they grow a lot in the few weeks following a molt, but if he had to regrow a limb maybe that took a lot of nutrients from growing larger

Re: Running away naked?
if you stop getting the wood wet it'll stop getting mouldy. There's no reason to spray it. You can also prop it up out of the sand with shells so it doesn't rot.

I hope they know you don't need to blow hard at all. Even just a slight breeze works.

Making your crab come out of his shell to great you.
I find if I blow lightly into the opening of their shell they come right out feelers going smelling the air. Maybe it's my breath but they come out 100% of the time when I do this. Anyone else notice this same behavior. ?

Re: Bad News
That's way too much to be shell water, I think the advice to spray profusely might not have been the best advice. I think you'll need to drain some of that water out now too when you get him. You're only supposed to spray enough to keep the sand sand castle consistency. So sorry
